I'm in the woods!`

The internet really hates the woods, let me tell you.  It is allergic.
But, so it goes.

Flew into seattle on Tuesday night - spent 6 hours at the airport Ramada.  Surrounded by drug dealers.  There was a large bald dude leaning on an SUV for 2 hours outside my window.  If I'd wanted it, the first one was, in fact, free.

See?  You can see the drug dealer behind the bars on my window.  Also note, probably a bad idea to sit in my window and take pictures of a drug dealer with a high powered zoom.  I may be marked for death.

Flew out of Seattle at 6am - it was foggy.

Got into Ketchikan in the early AM, meeting my sister.

The docks in front of the U-Haul parking lot.

The Safeway parking lot.  Sometimes you don't need all of that oppressive "hood" and "grill" nonsense.  Just a man, his engine, and some cheap Safeway Hooch.

We found the U-Haul place.  Well, to be more specific...we found a gravel parking lot which appeared to have several U-Haul vehicles parked in it.  Surrounded by trailer homes.  One of these homes, after much knocking, revealed itself to hold an old lady who checked out our truck, told us that she wasn't an official vendor and thus, while she had the authority to note damage to the truck, she could not apply the 'X' shaped sticker that marked the damage, and then took our money.  Banjos played.

Spent some time learning how to drive a 34' vehicle.  Turns out, the only place to park such a thing is Wal*Mart.  They know how to build a lot.

3-hour ferry ride...and then, 4.5 hrs to drive 80 miles to Whale Pass.
